C.A.N.T. @ SUNDANCE - Homos Away From Home

For the third year in a row, PKPR traveled to Park City, Utah to help Queer Lounge puts its unique stamp on the Sundance Film Festival. With panels by day and parties by night, Queer Lounge proved a major hit thanks to its prime new location on Main Street.

Entertainment Weekly covered the Queer Lounge panel on the Hollywood writer’s strike, while The Advocate, LOGO, and Washington Blade used Queer Lounge as the jumping off point to exlore gay film’s resurgence at Sundance.

But our favorite was VH-1’s Best Week Ever , which turned its hidden camera on Queer Lounge revelers to determine if “the gays” are really better dancers.

Queer Lounge Debuts in Toronto

For the first time, Queer Lounge rolled out the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival. PKPR managed publicity for its expansion and ensured it made a splash amidst all the competition.

Coverage included in depth features in The Toronto Sun, The Globe and Mail, and Xtra.  A highlight of the week was a raucous party celebrating the screening of John Cameron Mitchell’s Shortbus. Check out the scene from the party on PerezHilton and Blog Toronto.

Queer Lounge in Rolling Stone

Queer Lounge has officially become a Sundance institution thanks to a spread in Rolling Stone calling it one of the festival’s hot spots and a major feature in Hollywood Reporter. Other highlights included San Francisco Chronicle, The Advocate and profiles of Queer Lounge founder Ellen Huang in Go and Curve Magazine.
