Earth From Above: A Picture Earth Program
EARTH FROM ABOVE is a public art exhibition of large-scale aerial photographs by renowned photographer and environmentalist Yann Arthus-Bertrand. It will launch in New York City’s Bryant Park from April 2 – May 28, 2010, kicking off the 40th anniversary of Earth Day. Free to visit, this outdoor environmental and educational event will reach millions during its eight-week installation and then embark on a multi-city U.S. tour.
MetLife is an official corporate sponsor, providing fiscal and operational support. The National Geographic Channel and Time Warner Cable’s NYC Region are official TV media sponsors, providing exhibit and local video on demand programming, and fiscal and advertising support. JCDecaux is the official outdoor media sponsor, providing advertising support. Picture Earth, Inc., a 501(c)(3) (pending) non-profit organization, is the first and leading organization dedicated to using art to empower the general public toward sustainable living.
